ABOUT ROBERT POWELL III
Robert Powell III is a stand-up comedian and political satirist whose uncommon path from Louisiana politics to national comedy gives his voice rare authority and edge. A former Deputy Chief of Staff and gubernatorial appointee under the Bobby Jindal administration, Robert left a fast-rising political career to pursue comedy full-time—betting on himself and winning.
After years on the road, he became Louisiana’s Comedian of the Year three consecutive times and joined Shaquille O’Neal All‑Star Comedy Jam, touring nationwide for over a decade. His television credits include Atlanta, where he was personally cast by Donald Glover in the Emmy-nominated episode that made his character “Bibby” an instant fan favorite. He is also a national ad spokesperson for major brands, including Uber, Adidas, Starbucks, McDonald’s, and more. Additional appearances span Showtime, HBO, Netflix, and Just For Laughs’ Fresh Faces in Montreal, Canada.
